Psychosocial support

Objective

Shoruq’s Socio-Legal Program seeks to provide instantaneous protection for vulnerable children who are in direct conflict with the law, especially victims of harm, as well as connecting them with the requisite services they need to achieve complete psychological and physical recovery.

Methodology/ Application

The methodology of this program predominantly revolves around contacting the parents and families of the children, who are undergoing complexities and in conflict with the law, and providing them with specialized opinions, thorough information, and available options related to the circumstances of their children.

Subsequently, Shoruq’s staff members follow up with the children in conflict with the law, who had their cases tackled through this program, for the purpose of attempting to reintegrate these children into society and assist them to achieve that.

Projects

Shoruq Organization has organized several initiatives and projects that aim to achieve the aforementioned objectives of this program, which include: “Towards a more protective and enabling environment for children in conflict with the law.” The main target group of this project is children in conflict with the law, who are under the age of 18 and live in refugee camps and villages located in the Bethlehem Governorate.
