Shoruq Organisation, in partnership with Film Lab Palestine, presented Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi’s project "From Zero Distance" during the ongoing genocide against our Palestinian people. This project emerged from the realization that the voices of Gaza's residents are rarely heard. Therefore, documenting their experiences is crucial for preserving memory. Writing the history of the occupation of Palestine can only be achieved through writing the history of Palestine itself. Gaza, as a vibrant creative space, hosts a large number of artistic talents that should continue to thrive. Thus, the idea for this project came about, featuring 22 films that tell short stories, each with a duration of 3-6 minutes. This approach allows for a range of perspectives and presents diverse and creative ideas, combining different genres to focus on hidden and overlooked stories during the ongoing war against our Palestinian people.
