Shoruq Organization holds an artistic event to showcase the talents and improved skills of its new Music and Dabkeh Program’s beneficiaries.

Shoruq Organization organized a successful artistic event on the 26th of October with the participation of the young children of Shoruq’s Music and Dabkeh Program. The two-hour event took place at President Putin Cultural Center in Bethlehem, and was attended by hundreds of people; the majority of whom were the proud parents and relatives of the children playing the musical instruments and dancing dabkeh. The event was a big success for Shoruq Organization, given the high satisfaction of the parents who were impressed by the children’s skills and performance.

It is worth noting that the children have been practicing their dakbeh and music skills for several months, under the supervision of specialized music and dabkeh trainers who provided them with weekly trainings that aimed to foster their art-related skills and develop their creative vision. Shoruq Organization decided to hold this unique event to show the noticeable progress of the children and reflect the significance of these trainings on the children, their personalities, and their skills.

The event was also joined by Shoruq’s main Dance Troup, who also participated in the event and performed new different dances they have been working on. The audience could see the contrast between the new and old generations. This served as an inciter for families to keep their children in these programs so they are able to progress, develop their skills, and reach the same level as the new generation.

About Shoruq’s Art Program.

The Art Program of Shoruq Organization provides Palestinian youth and children with the opportunity to express themselves and the main issues they are subjected to by utilizing art as a primary mode of expression. It also assigns them the fundamental responsibility of preserving the Palestinian culture and portraying it in a modern and innovative manner that aligns with this age of time. Further to this, the Art Program supplements the Palestinian youth with the necessary tools to exploit their inner energy and skills in order to highlight the case of Palestinian refugees through an effective approach that primarily relies on artistic advocacy for the Palestinian cause specifically and all world refugees in general on a local and global scale. The Art Program consists of the Dabkeh, Rap (Hip-hop), and Music sub-programs.
