Job Summary:
We are recruiting a highly qualified and creative Social Media officer to join our team. He/she will lead Shoruq’s website and social media presence and manage all social media activities and campaigns that will advocate for our vision in empowering refugees and raise awareness about refugee rights and girls empowerment programs. The Social Media officer is responsible for planning, implementing the organization’s Social Media strategy to increase awareness and reach more followers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor a social media pages.
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video) that builds awareness, meaningful connections and encourages community members to support Shoruq.
- Manage and lead on all content and campaigns on all Shoruq social media profiles.
- Collaborate with the programs team to plan and take engaging content for social media.
- Launch social media campaigns and implement strategies for individual content posts.
- Conducting advertisement campaigns on social media platforms to expand followers/reach.
- Creating a local and global network through a database for donors, NGO and private sector persons, and social media influencers to enhance awareness on Shoruq locally and globally.
- Measure and report on social media activity and campaigns- as requested by the supervisor.
- Add and organize website for a better reach for Shoruq.
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years experience in social media management and digital media and marketing.
- Bachelors in communications, IT, E marketing, social/digital media, or a related field.
- Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring social media strategies & campaigns;
- Expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc).
- Proficient in photography and design programs, such as photoshop, and illustrator.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written communication skills).
- Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Highly resourceful – a “self-starter” with initiative and excellent problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as perform as a member of a team.
- Creativity and positive energy for making a difference in a healthy work environment.
