Palestinian Refugee film Festival 2023

Shoruq organization  concluded the Palestinian  Refugee film  Festival in Bethlehem. The opening film of the festival was "Sherin," an investigative documentary about the assassination of journalist Sherin Abu akleh.

 

Throughout the three-day festival, films from more than 25 countries around the world were screened at over 15 locations in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and the occupied territories. The films were divided into two categories:

Awards at the Palestinian Refugee film  Festival:

Documentary Films:

The judging panel gave special Mention  to the film "Stories from the Camp" by director Wafik Abdelghani.

The Best Documentary Film award was presented to "Search," directed by Alaa Al-Dayya.

Fiction Films:

 

The Best Fiction Film award was given to "Loran," directed by Kurdish filmmaker Shahab Al-Nasseri.

The film "I Am the land  in a Body" by director Thaer Al-Azza received the Audience  Award.
