Shoruq Organization Launches Podcast Training Programme to Empower Young Palestinian Media Professionals

Shoruq Organization has launched a specialized podcast production training programme targeting media students and recent graduates from Palestinian universities. The training is part of a broader project aimed at promoting freedom of the press and freedom of expression while highlighting key issues related to media freedom in Palestine.

The training is led by journalist and media trainer Saed Najem, who provides participants with the practical knowledge and technical skills required to produce professional podcast content. The programme covers podcast storytelling, content development, interviewing techniques, audio production, and digital publishing, equipping young journalists with the tools needed to navigate the challenges of the Palestinian media landscape while promoting independent, ethical, and high-quality journalism.

This training is one component of a comprehensive capacity-building programme that includes a series of specialized courses delivered by leading Palestinian media professionals and experts across various fields of journalism and communication. Together, these trainings aim to strengthen participants' professional competencies and prepare them to produce impactful media content that reflects the realities and priorities of Palestinian society.

Through this initiative, Shoruq Organization seeks to empower the next generation of Palestinian media professionals, encouraging them to express their communities' stories freely, responsibly, and professionally while contributing to a more independent and resilient media sector.

This project is implemented in partnership with SWEDO – The Swedish Development Aid Organization.
