Shoruq Organization Launches Concrete Art and Clay Craft Training for Girls at the Girls' Care Home in Beit Jala

Shoruq Organization Launches Concrete Art and Clay Craft Training for Girls at the Girls' Care Home in Beit Jala **Shoruq Organization** has launched a specialized training course in concrete art and clay crafts for girls at the **Girls' Care Home in Beit Jala**, under the supervision of trainer Walaa Jibran. The initiative aims to empower girls by equipping them with practical skills that create new professional and economic opportunities for their future. The training is part of the organization's handicraft skills development program, through which participants receive hands-on instruction in mixing, molding, and designing artistic and decorative products using concrete and clay techniques. These skills enable the girls to produce marketable handmade items and lay the foundation for developing small income-generating businesses, strengthening their economic independence and self-confidence. The workshops also seek to enhance the participants' psychosocial well-being by engaging them in creative activities, fostering teamwork and initiative, and providing them with alternative vocational skills that support their positive reintegration into society. Initial outcomes have shown a high level of engagement among the participants, reflected in their growing ability to express themselves, unleash their creativity, and explore ways to transform their newly acquired skills into practical opportunities for their future careers and livelihoods. This project is supported by the **Sawasya Joint Programme**, through **UNICEF**, as part of efforts to enhance access to comprehensive case management services for children in contact with the law and those at risk, including psychosocial support and gender-responsive vocational training.
