Shoruq Organization Concludes the 25th Summer Camp "Safety and Fun" for 120 Children

Shoruq Organization, in partnership with SOS Children's Villages Palestine, has concluded the activities of its 25th Summer Camp, "Safety and Fun," which was held from 19–23 July 2026 with the participation of 120 children aged 8 to 12 years.

The five-day camp was designed to provide children with a safe and supportive environment that promotes psychosocial well-being while fostering creativity, self-expression, and essential life skills through a diverse programme of educational and recreational activities.

Throughout the camp, participants engaged in a wide range of recreational games, psychosocial support and emotional relief activities, as well as interactive workshops in drama, theatre, traditional Palestinian dance (Dabke), and art. These activities aimed to strengthen children's self-confidence, encourage teamwork, and create meaningful opportunities for positive social interaction in an enjoyable and child-friendly setting.

On the fourth day, the programme featured an educational theatre performance presented by Anad Theatre, delivering awareness-raising messages through an engaging and interactive approach tailored to the children's age group.

The camp concluded with a vibrant closing celebration that reflected the children's active participation and enthusiasm throughout the programme. The activities successfully combined learning, recreation, and psychosocial support, providing participants with a positive summer experience while contributing to their emotional and social development.

Shoruq Organization reaffirmed its commitment to empowering children and promoting their well-being through high-quality programmes implemented in partnership with national and international organisations, with the aim of creating safe, inclusive, and child-friendly spaces where every child can learn, play, and thrive.
