Shoruq Launches "Soti" Podcast: A Empowering Platform Giving Palestinian Girls a Voice and Space for Change In a pioneering step aimed at empowering young Palestinian women and bringing their voices to the world, Shoruq Organization has announced the launch of its new audio project: "Soti" (My Voice) Podcast: My Space, My Story, My Freedom. This creative project, funded by the Doria Feminist Fund, serves as a free platform and a safe space for girls to express their opinions, share their personal experiences, and freely discuss the social, cultural, and political issues that matter to them. About the "Soti" Project Spanning over a period of 6 months, the participating girls embark on an integrated training journey designed to: Learn the skills of podcast preparation, production, and vocal training. Empower participants to write and develop purposeful media content. Produce episodes that directly contribute to raising the voices of Palestinian women and shedding light on their pivotal issues. New Episode: Music as a Tool to Break Societal Barriers In one of the show's standout episodes, host Zain Al-Zaghari takes us on an inspiring journey with her guest, Diala Shaheen, a member of the Palestinian group "Ittijah" (Direction). "Ittijah" is recognized as one of the most inspiring youth-led initiatives in Palestine. It is an all-girl band that chose to perform hip-hop and rap music—a bold step taken to challenge traditional societal norms and express their future dreams and aspirations.
